Mary Hikumuah-Barton

Principal Geoscientist (Pr. Sci. Nat.)

Mary Barton is a Namibian-based geoscience consultant. She has more than 10 years’ experience in the mining industry with combined experience from both the regulatory and the commercial side. Mary holds MScs in Mineral Resource Management and in Geology from the University of Dundee and Curtin University, respectively. Her interests include exploration; geological modelling using 3D software; mineral ore systems; financial and risk analysis of mineral projects; and mineral policy. Mary is the African Regional Councillor for the International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits and is registered with the South African Council for Natural Science Professionals.

Ashwell Mhishi

Junior Geologist

Ashwell Mhishi is a Namibian-based geologist with an Honours degree in Geology from the University of Namibia. His work focuses on mineral exploration, geological mapping, and desktop-based research, including remote sensing and technical reporting. He has a growing foundation in mineral exploration, geological mapping, and remote sensing. Ashwell has a background in desktop research and report writing , supported by academic training and early career,  experience across different geological terrains in Namibia. He is a registered geoscientist with the Geoscience Council of Namibia (GSCN). His areas of interest include resource assessment, structural interpretation, and the use of GIS and satellite data in early-stage project development.
